Florida Driver’s License Exams to Be Offered in English Only Starting February 6, 2026

Beginning February 6, 2026, the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles will offer Driver’s License Knowledge and Skill Examinations exclusively in English. Exams were previously available in Spanish, but that option will no longer be offered. This change also applies to Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) examinations.

Drivers who are more comfortable testing in Spanish should plan ahead and prepare accordingly before the new policy takes effect.
